CASA New Advocate Training
New Advocate Pre-Service Training is the first step toward becoming a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer. This comprehensive training equips community members with the knowledge and skills needed to advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Throughout the training, participants learn about the child welfare system, the effects of trauma, family dynamics, courtroom procedures, and the role of a CASA volunteer. Training includes a combination of self-paced learning, interactive discussions, and guidance from experienced staff and community professionals. No legal or social work background is required, just a heart for children and a commitment to speaking up for their best interests. By the end of training, you'll be prepared to serve as a powerful voice for a child navigating the court system.
