Historic garden restorations

The Harrodsburg Historical Society is pleased to present a special evening with renowned garden designer Jon Carloftis, focused on the art and practice of historic garden restoration. This program will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Morgan Row House (220 S. Chiles St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330), and is held in memory of a cherished member of our community, Bonnie Tanner.

Through his work restoring iconic landscapes across Kentucky and beyond, Jon Carloftis brings a deep appreciation for the history, craftsmanship, and storytelling embedded in historic gardens. Attendees will gain insight into the principles of preservation gardening and the importance of maintaining living links to our shared heritage.
