  • The 2021 annual scholarship shoppe

  • The 2021 annual scholarship shoppe hosted by the Mercer Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Mercer Community Endowment, will not be held in person due to covid restrictions.

“Most applications have moved online as well,” said Jill Cutler, executive director of the chamber. “In the past we have had booths for students to walk around and visit, collect applications and talk with advisors. This year we will just have links available on our website as well as the school websites.”

Paying for college is difficult for most families and scholarships can greatly reduce the financial burden.

“The chamber has dedicated a page on their website to host scholarship links specifically for students in Mercer or Burgin school districts,” said Cutler. “The search can be overwhelming but there are a lot of opportunities out there. We hope it will help parents and students to have it condensed to one place.”

Cutler said the schools as well as the chamber are posting about scholarships regularly on social media as well.
