    About Us

    A full-scale replica of the fort built by James Harrod in 1774 is the centerpiece of Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg, KY. Cabins and blockhouses are furnished with handmade utensils, furniture, crude tools and implements used by the pioneers. The park complex also features the historic Mansion Museum, George Rogers Clark Federal Monument, Lincoln Marriage Temple, and oldest cemetery west of the Alleghenies.

    The Park will be closed December 23, 2017 through January 1, 2018. The Park will reopen on January 2, 2018.

    Fort, Gift Shop and Lincoln Marriage Temple are open Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

    March 1 - November 30
    Fort, Gift Shop and Lincoln Marriage Temple are open Wednesday - Saturday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Open Sunday Noon to 5:00pm

    April 1 - October 31
    The Fort Harrod State Park Museum is open Wednesday - Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm. Open Sunday 1:00pm to 5:00pm

    Grounds are open to the public 8:00 until dusk, 7 days a week.

    November 1 - March 31
    Museum is closed.

    The Lincoln Marriage Temple is one of the stops along Kentucky's Lincoln Heritage Trail.
