Soft Skills Boot Camp
The Mercer Chamber presents SOFT SKILLS BOOT CAMP with Greg Coker. Greg is sponsored by Member AT&T! This is in collaboration with KAACE.
- Our Soft Skills approach is driven by a laser-like focus on purpose and engagement. Most programs are singularly focused on basic “work skills” versus the motivation of being career and work ready. Most are pretty good with basic work skills having managed to get out of bed and show up to school for the last 12 years. And when properly motivated, they’re up significantly earlier for that seasonal hunt or extra-curricular excursion. Our goal is to tap into each participant’s innate pursuit for purpose, engagement and the need to contribute. The basic work skills and the motivation for mastery naturally follow!

“The Soft Skills Boot Camp was a perfect addition to our U.S. Department of Labor program, with the Youth Career Connect Grant. Our Career Counselors received a first class presentation on soft skills that can be related to everyday situations. The information about developing those personal relationships with our YCC students was rewarding to hear and it gave our group a renewed vision on how that works! The Career Counselors are looking forward to providing this opportunity to our YCC students and to their school staff to hear this powerful information that is for everyone!”
