LOCATION:Old Fort Harrod State Park @100 South College Street Old Fort Harrod State Park is one of Kentucky's 49 State Parks. We commemorate the First Permanent Settlement West of the Allegheny Mountains. The town was founded by James Harrod on June 16th\, 1774 and a fort built the following year.
