SUMMARY:Preview a Bevy of Baskets
DESCRIPTION:A Bevy of Baskets and more BAZAAR! \n\n \n\nOn Small Business Saturday\, November 28\, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. the Harrodsburg Historical Society is hosting a Holiday Bazaar. The Annual Christmas Tea hosted at Morgan Row for 28 years was cancelled early in the fall due to Covid 19\, when the Christmas committee knew the way it had been done would not be viable. A member mentioned that they would miss the delicious spiced tea and then the idea of the basket Bazaar evolved. Rather than printing our history pamphlet\, which was given to the guests of the Tea Room over the two-day event that listed the various Advertising Patrons and Patrons of the Harrodsburg Historical Society\, we asked if they would like to contribute in a way that would benefit both them and the Society. Some of our businesses have still supported with cash donations to our non-profit organization and others have donated goods and services in the form of products\, gift certificates\, and services. Some members donated antique items\, unique baskets\, and one member even made beautiful holiday greeting signs from antique wooden window shutters. There are baskets already made up to be purchased or a new twist is choosing a basket and filling it with gift items one chooses such as jars of honey\, fudge from the Kentucky Fudge Company\, country ham biscuits from the Beaumont Inn\, food gift certificates\, and gift cards from the local boutiques and gift shops\, and spiced tea mix. Of course\, one need not even purchase a basket\, but can still buy individual items. There are items that may also be bid on for a silent auction. Bright Leaf Golf Resort has donated a gift certificate for a weekday overnight golf package valued at $106. Triple J & C BBQ has donated a dinner for 6 catered to you valued at over $120. These are just a few items mentioned for the silent auction. After initial signing for a silent auction bid\, one not need be present\, but can call 859-749-2485 to check on or increase bidding. Covid restrictions apply\, masks required\, and there is a preview on Saturday\, November 21 at Morgan Row from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. For more information and pictures see our website www.harrodsburghistorical.org\, Facebook\, or call Marian Bauer at 859-749-2485.
