DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn a heritage craft that links us to a 200 year tradition of broom making at Pleasant Hill. In this workshop you will begin by making smaller brushes and progress to creating a Turkey Wing (a hand-tied variation of a traditional flat broom). Learn to wrap\, tie and finish hand-made brooms just like the Shakers. All necessary materials are provided. No experience necessary and all levels are encouraged to join. Price: $45 per person Program fee includes one complimentary admission to Shaker Village and one voucher redeemable for 20% off dining at the Trustees' Table (excluding alcoholic beverages). Dining reservation recommended to assure availability - 800.734.5611 x 360. This program is for guests ages 16 and up. All 16 and 17 year old guests must be accompanied by a paying adult.
