Mercer County Judge
Executive John Trisler was recognized at the Annual
Banquet of Commerce Lexington last Thursday night in
Lexington. Judge Trisler along with Boyle Judge
Executive Tony Wilder and Danville Mayor Hugh Coomer
were brought on stage in front of over 1000 community
and business leaders from Lexington and 16 other
surrounding counties then recognized for working
together on a regional jail which serves both counties
well while managing local budgets to make it work.
The theme for the banquet
was "One Region, Growing Together". David Hopewell past
Mercer Chamber President who was also in attendance
said, "I felt extremely proud of Judge Trisler as he was
on stage knowing how well he represents our county and
how respected he is with his peers in surrounding
counties. I could not have been prouder of Judge
Trisler."

The Mercer Chamber of
Commerce is happy to announce the Grand Opening of
the Hudde House, a much welcomed new business to
Mercer County. On December 6, 2007 local patrons,
along with the management of the business, the Mayor
of the city of Harrodsburg, the Mercer County Judge
Executive and members of the chamber's board of
directors all turned out to welcome Huddle House to
Harrodsburg and to wish them much success.
Those in attendance had
many compliments on the restaurant's management,
staff and physical appearance of the new business.
It's sure to be a gathering place for all who like a
great cup of coffee along with a sumptuous breakfast
or other delicious items on the Huddle House menu.

CVS
Pharmacy held their grand opening and ribbon cutting
ceremony August 24, 2007. There was a great crowd on
had to witness the festivities.
To list a
few, Mayor Lonnie Campbell, Local radio celebrity
Johnnie Slone, Chamber of Commerce President and State
Farm Ins. Agent David Hopewell, Chamber board member
Jill Cutler with Central KY Christian School, Chamber
Board member Pattie Chidester with 5/3rd Bank, Darryl
Peavler and Deloris Sims with Community Trust Bank,
Sarah Jackson with Harrodsburg 1st and many others came
out.
The Mercer
